LinkedIn – London HQ

We are delighted to have been the chosen gym supplier for LinkedIn’s new London HQ. This impressive site covers some 83,000 square feet at The Ray Farringdon. The development provides office space split over seven levels, each with its own external terrace. A communal roof terrace sits atop of the building, with panoramic views across London.

Gym Design & Planning

The new gym provides plenty of space for a good selection of equipment. The design process largely involved deciding on the best positioning for the equipment to take advantage of the incredible views out of the glass fronting, beyond the terrace. Our 3D gym design software enabled us to better visualise the space and move equipment around until we found the best configuration for the space.

Equipment Installed

The management staff at LinkedIn were very knowledgeable and had a good idea on the mix of equipment they wanted. It was important to provide a variety of HITT cardio equipment alongside free weights and functional training equipment. With this in mind the GymGear Curve 2.0 treadmill, Tornado Air Bike, Blade 2.0 Rowers and Watt Bike were chosen as the perfect HITT cardio circuit. A full set of Gym Gear rubber dumbbells and adjustable benches were fitted in the free weights area alongside the Sterling Series Full Power rack, elite series adjustable pulley,  and a large selection of kettlebells. A range of standard cardio was fitted with our T97 Treadmills and X97 Cross Trainer facing the glass front with views across London. Throughout the gym, we fitted 40mm premium floor tile with a blue fleck to match the LinkedIn logo. The floor has both acoustic properties and provides the necessary protection from dropping weights.

Outcome

This cooperate gym is just as impressive as the rest of the facilities at LinkedIn’s HQ. Many of the staff are going to the gym in the mornings and at lunchtime for a quick workout to set them up for the rest of the day.
