Reading Rockets Basketball Club

Introduction

Gym Gear is proud to be working with Reading Rockets Basketball Club who have been busy preparing a new training facility for their players during the lockdown. Reading Rockets Basketball Club was formed in 1997, the family behind the formation of the club had a mission to create something across the community that had life-changing opportunities for anyone and everyone. The club has been growing ever since it had been formed. The owner of Reading Rockets Basketball Club decided that they wanted to create a gym facility for their players to have a place to workout and train. The owner had sent over to us a Wishlist of equipment that they had seen and thought was appropriate for their facility. Once we had a confirmed list of definite equipment, information regarding product specifications, delivery, installation, warranty, service and maintenance was sent over to the owner to check. When the wish list of equipment and all information had been approved we moved onto our design stage.

Gym Design

Using the approved list of equipment we created a 3D mock-up of the facility, placing all of the chosen equipment inside. Designing the layout and functionality of the facility. We created a 3D walkthrough video and took 3D visual images to show the owner exactly what the gym facility would look like. This allows them to double-check all of the equipment is suitable and fits well inside the building, and it gives them an opportunity to swap or change the equipment or layout if they are not 100% satisfied with it. The 3D visuals give you a feel for how much space you have for movement in your gym. These designs were sent off to be checked and approved. Once the 3D visual video and images were approved we then continued to our delivery and installation stage of the process.

Delivery and Installation

The new facility for Reading Rockets Basketball Club features a range of strength and conditioning equipment including HIIT cardio equipment and a range of free weights and bodyweight training equipment. HIIT Cardio delivered and installed includes 2 x Row Ergs and 2 x Tornado Airbikes. Strength Equipment delivered and installed includes 2 x Sterling Series Half Power Racks, 3 x Sterling Series Adjustable Benches and a Sterling Series Glute/Ham Bench. Free Weights and Accessories include Standard Olympic Bars, Olympic Hex Bars, Hi-impact Bumper Plates, a Rubber Dumbbell Set, a Medicine Ball Set, a Kettlebell Set, Suspension Trainers, a Battle Rope, Powerbands, Soft Plyo Boxes and Balance Domes. The whole facility was finished off with our 20mm Premium Black Rubber Flooring Tiles and Premium Rubber Edges.

Outcome

The outcome of this gym installation is a fantastic new training facility that will be a great asset to the team moving forwards. There is a range of equipment to suit everyone’s training styles and needs and the rubber flooring finishes off the facility perfectly.
