The Northern Tennis Club

Introduction:

We have recently completed a gym installation for The Northern Tennis Club in Manchester. Founded nearly 140 years ago, The Northern is one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in the UK. The Northern Tennis Club came to us to design, supply and install a new dedicated Strength and conditioning facility to support the racquet programmes and individual members. The Tennis Clubs aim is to become a centre of excellence for Strength and Conditioning.

Gym Design & Planning:

The Northern Tennis Clubs Gym Manager already had in mind the type of gym they wanted to create. Including the equipment that they would like to have placed in the gym. The facility was planned to house a range of strength and conditioning classes for juniors and adults. To be bookable by the hour when not in use and for PTs to use for training sessions. Once we had a list of the equipment we began to bring their vision to life by creating a 3D replica of the gym. This allows the manager to visualise exactly what the gym will look like and to make any changes they require. Once the gym design and equipment was approved we continued onto the delivery and installation stage.

Delivery & installation:

Once the list of equipment and the gym design had been approved we continued onto the delivery and installation stage. A range of strength and conditioning equipment and accessories has been delivered and installed including Warrior Folding Wall Racks, Sterling Series Adjustable Bench, Premium Olympic Bars, an XPO Trainer, Black Rubber Bumper Plates, a Slam Ball Set, a Powerbag Set a 3 in 1 Plyo Box and a Battle Rope. The whole facility was finished off with our 30mm Premium Grey Fleck Rubber Tiles and our 30mm Premium Blue Rubber Tiles.

Outcome:

The outcome is a fantastic new facility for The Northern Tennis Club with a wide range of equipment and accessories for all of their Strength and Conditioning needs.
